Katie [senior rep]

Blog5

Wow, do I get all the luck or what?  I'm pretty sure that I get to photograph THE most beautiful seniors around!  Katie is going to be a senior next year and is one of my fabulous 2010 senior reps!  Now normally with reps I pick the spots that we are going to do, but this time I did it a little bit different and let Katie and her mom pick the locations.  I have to tell you, they found some great new spots!  It's always so fun for me to try out different locations, you never know what you are going to find...(like big birds with wing spans wider than I am tall!)  Yup, that is what we found at this first spot.  Loved the spot...the big scary bird, not so much!

After this we headed out to Pottawatomie Park where we were thrilled to see Earth's Edge with their kayaks all lined up...what a perfect and colorful background opportunity!

Off to our next stop at Fat Chix Coffee Cantina.  And what a cool place this was!  They have a friendly pigeon there that watched everything we did.  Besides the cute pigeon, the walls and props at this little cantina are awesome!  Check it out...

Michelle [senior session]

Blog1

I met up with Michelle and her family a few days ago for Michelle's senior session.  Michelle is from MIdland and found me through a wedding that I had done.  We started out the session in downtown Grand Haven and had plans to finish up at the beach.  Well, about 20 minutes into the session the thunder started and before long we were getting wet.  We never made it to the beach...bummer!   I think we got some great shots though, enjoy your sneak peek and thanks for choosing me to be your photographer!!

Troy & Bethany [4-24-09]

Blog1

Troy and Bethany tied the knot last Friday on what was the warmest day of '09 thus far!  Nice blue skies, lovely breeze, and an absolutely FUN wedding party!  The day started out at Remembrance Church.  I 'heart' this church.  It is not only beautiful, but it has yummy natural light coming in from some huge side windows!  After the 'I Do's" were spoken, we headed to the party at Gracewil Country Club.  We squeezed in a few more pics as the sun was setting before heading in for some great food, music, and dancing!  Thanks Troy and Bethany for letting me be there for your special day!

Jake is now 14 months old!  I can't believe it, where did the time go?  He is growing up SO fast.  I am really fortunate to have a job that I love and that also enables me to stay home with my kiddos!  It is such a blessing and I am enjoying every minute of every day!  Here is a look back at Jake this past year.  I can't believe how much he has changed.  Look at that first picture...he doesn't even look like the same baby.  I always stress to my clients the importance of getting their babies in within the first 2 weeks because they change so much, here is proof of that!

Gerald & Cynthia [engaged!!]

Blog1

This couple is just so awesome...I mean, they did get me into the Frederik Meijer Gardens to photograph their engagement session after all!!  I've always wondered what it would be like to shoot there, but have never had the chance up until now and it was fabulous!  The lighting in the atrium where the butterflies were was just great!  It was a busy place so we had to work around loads of people, but it was SO worth it!  After visiting with the butterflies, we took a walk outside to find the waterfall that they are having their ceremony at in just ONE MONTH!!  It's just gorgeous out there, I can't wait until the big day.  The best part about doing an engagement session is that I get to know the couple a little bit more and at the same time they get a feel for how I work.  I don't think Gerald had a clue what he was getting himself into and I was pretty tame with him.  It's just a warm-up Gerald, you haven't seen nothing yet!  Hehe  :)  Here you go guys, a little sneak peek...
